Our client are currently looking for a suitable person to take on the role of Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer.
The NOC is the key operational department, managing the day-to-day technical operation of this leading edge, business oriented, ISP.

Key tasks;
Second Line Technical support to NOC
Routing / Switching Issues
Customer independent configurations
Custom client setups
Network documentation
Client custom documentation

Secondary tasks;
Shadow network design
Participate in all network design related meetings
Participate in design of the network
Product development
Where possible create new opportunities for services.
Technical pre-sales support
Support Sales team in closing deals
Join sales team when meeting clients
Provide VoIP support to Sales team

The candidate needs to be experienced with networks, switches and routers, ideally the individual must have worked for an ISP, or worked in an enterprise I.P network. CCNA, CCNP and VoIP experience is a plus.

The successful applicant will have;
Had considerable experience working in Network management and control and will certainly have
CCNA (and be working towards CCNP).
Excellent communication skills, be well educated and articulate, the candidate must be fluent in
English both written and verbal as regular communication with clients is a daily undertaking.
The ability and an ambition to progress further up the technical or management ladder.
Experience of leadership, either in a work or a leisure environment, is desirable.
